Southern Socialite + Seatbelts

My instagram pals know about Christmas in July, #CarlyCathCmas, that I've been co-hosting with the incredible Carly (Cinci Prep). In short, we partnered with some great companies to show our appreciation for our followers' support in a series of giveaways throughout the entire month of July. Charlie Southern was just one of the many companies we were privileged enough to collaborate with. My "Southern Socialite" tee is incredibly comfortable and I've worn it some ridiculous number of times after receiving it in the mail. To celebrate another Friday and another Weekend, I thought I might share this uber casual look with y'all! It's been FOREVER and 5 years since I've shared an outfit post here on Classy Cathleen... Shout out to the little sis for her camera skills... she may have learned a little something from her older sister...

Simple Gray Maxi

Last week it was rainy and one night I had tweeted and asked Twitter friends if it's okay to wear a maxi dress when it's like 35-65 outside. I was already going to wear it anyways... but I thought I'd see what y'all thought. I got the okay from Twitter, and it was all systems go on the maxi even if it was rainy outside. Kiss Me Mint sent this simple and super comfy dress that actually fits me. I'm short so it's hard for me to find any dress... particularly a maxi dress. 

Anyways, a little about Kiss Me Mint... they specialize in affordable fashion, which is perfect for a broke highschooler like me. I mean this maxi is only $14! Whenever you can find a good boutique that has certain things for less it's always a good thing. The boutique also has a wonderful Luxe Line with products for more but it balances out because the quality is amazing. So as usual I don't know where this post is going... but I think you should know that after discovering Kiss Me Mint, my shopping list has grown... a lot. Definitely check out their site and look around!

Blue & LL Bean

So as I said in the post I published... hmm about an hour ago. I'm staying at Hunting Island. You would know this if you keep up with me on Instagram, which if don't you totally should! Anyways, I went to Old Navy last weekend and the entire store was 40% off so I jumped for joy... and loaded the cart. This sweater was one of the things that I threw into the cart. Yesterday was all about the layers because lemme tell ya it was rather chilly outside. This was underneath another layer and a coat. Also talk about a background... It reminded me of Summer and all the palmetto trees made me so happy so I just had to take pictures... Keep scrolling to see some really weird pictures of me (some might save these for blogger bloopers but since I am in no ways perfect... I have these pictures in abundance).

Faux Fur & PearlyMay Designs

I'm quite possibly the most awkward person when it comes to taking pictures for the blog. Some people can just smile and get these fabulous photos and I just don't know how they do it. This vest has been featured in countless Instagram posts and a few blog posts... Like this one  and this one (throwback to October, freshman year). It's one of my favorites from my mom's closet (it's about 15 years old...) and it matches way more than you would think. Also, this Piko shirt dress is one of the most comfortable pieces I own. They're also very well priced... Only $21!

I recently visited a holiday bazaar at a local church, and met a vendor with some fabulous cards. You know me, I'm obsessed with cards and stationery. Stripes & Chai

Hey y'all! Thought I would KICK off this week with a super fun and actually really warm and cozy Walmart proof look complete with stripes, denim, a plaid/herringbone blanket scarf, rose gold, and chai tea (because I'm obsessed) (also talk about a run on sentence... oops). I am 100% in love with this blanket scarf a) because not as many people have this one.. unlike that one Zara scarf that people (I'm included in this) are still obsessing over. and b) because plaid is kinda my thing in the Fall/Winter and it just goes with the black and white herringbone so perfectly so yeah in LOVE. 

I'm probably gonna get asked about this so why not address it now....  I'm drinking Bigelow's Vanilla Chai tea which is heavenly with a little Stevia might I add. I've been drinking like 3 cups a night (which is probably not too healthy but when you're addicted you're addicted). And this adorable (and humongous but in a good way) initial mug is from *drumroll please* CVS! Only the best pharmacy out there carries these fab fab mugs which are located in their Christmas gift/candy section. They may/may not have at your location.. but always worth a look! My apologies to my instagram followers who have seen this mug over 10 times. Also another apology to my instagram followers about this scarf... I've worn it literally 20 times in a week and every time I post a picture on instagram (because seriously, who would I be if I didn't?).
