Hey y'all,
Recently, someone asked me if I wore socks with sperries. I told him that I did. He told me not to and that sperries are not meant to be worn with socks. Do you agree or disagree?
Honestly, wearing shoes without socks bothers me. When you wear tennis shoes without socks, your feet get all smelly! It also messes up the shoe. I wear socks with sperries to keep my feet smelling good and for comfort reasons.
It's not comfortable when you don't wear socks! Your toes are just sitting in the shoe. With socks, your feet are protected, warm, and smelling good.
On cold days, I wear big fuzzy socks with my sperries. Are you telling me that if I am to wear sperries on a cold day, my feet will get cold and I will have to deal with that! I don't think so..
Most people I know wear socks with sperries. I don't know more than 5 that don't.
Telling someone not to wear socks with sperries is like telling someone not to wear socks with their nikes. You wouldn't do that would you? Exactly. So why are you telling me not to wear socks with sperries!
Do you wear socks with sperries? Maybe I'm just weird and I'm not supposed to wear socks with sperries..

I agree with you to an extent. I don't wear socks with my sperrys in the summer because I feel they are unattractive. But I also agree its gross to not wear socks. That's why in the summer when I'm wearing capris ad shorts I wear peds (the no show socks that you wear with flats) that way I can get the no sock look without feeling gross. In the winter when I wear with my sperrys I wear my regular ankle socks because they're covered by my jeans! :)
ReplyDeleteI wear socks with my Sperrys always. If it's long pants that cover the ankles, I wear regular socks. If it's shorts or capris, I wear shorter socks that you can't see. But yes, socks are a must!
