Inside my Camera // June 2016

As many of you know, I'm an aspiring photographer. I'm currently exploring all subject matters to find what I'm the best at. Exploring this new found talent of mine has been so exciting, and I'll be using my blog to document my adventures in self discovery as well as actual adventures.

The above photos are a collection of adventures from the beginning of June to my birthday, July 3rd. Adventures at Table Rock, a local plant nursery, volunteer work for a local animal rescue, Union County, and other locations in the state of South Carolina. I hope you enjoy!

Best of The East Coast: The South Carolina Coast

I have so much love for my state... I've spent the last five years spending almost every weekend exploring South Carolina - the state parks in particular. My momma even wrote a book about our adventures that my family and I went on at all 47 of the state parks. Savannah of The Always Blog is hosting a collaboration to showcase the best of the East Coast, and I am so incredibly excited to share my favorite parts of coastal South Carolina. I couldn't have simply chosen just one location to focus on for this post like Edisto Island, the city of Beaufort, Charleston, or Myrtle Beach because I love them all and there are so many unique elements in each of these locations that make the coast of South Carolina worth visiting out of the entire East coast of America.

Let's start at the top of the coast line and work our way down the coast...

The Goat Farm of my Dreams

It's no secret that goats are my favorite animal... Of course next to dogs, giraffes, and a couple others. I've loved goats since I was little. When I was about 9 or so I had one of those make your own Christmas ornament kits, but this one was a little different. You had to stack all these circles together and in the middle of these circles there was a piece of paper. It was called a "Wish Ornament". Me being the wild child that I am made a special wish. "I wish for by the time I'm 20 to own 5 chickens, 3 roosters, 19 goats, and 12 cows." NOT JOKING HERE, FRIENDS! Anyways... I don't see that wish coming true any time soon. However, I've still dreamed of having goats and any time we pass goats on the highway I never cease to announce "GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAATS!" - my family loves me I promise. Here's some of my favorite snaps from wandering around Split Creek Farms for your Tuesday Morning...

As you can tell... I really like goats. This farm was one of those hidden-doesn't-look-like-much-but-actually-is-incredible attraction of the SC upstate. Also, Important side note to share: Their fudge made with goat milk is heaven. Not more heavenly than actually seeing all the goats, but it's pretty darn heavenly.

Wow it sure is fun to write blog posts at 3 AM....

Stay tuned for more interesting places featured on Classy Cathleen because I'm visiting a dairy farm later this week! Keep up with me on snapchat and instagram to be ahead of the adventures before they make it on the blog... Hope your Spring Break is going/went as well as mine so far!

Birthday in Greenville

If you remember a few posts back... I had some pre-birthday adventures in Columbia. Well, for my actual birthday, we headed up to Greenville, South Carolina. Also can I just say, I have the best readers and friends!! All your birthday texts, comments, tweets, instagram ice cream posts, and emails just made me the happiest girl in the world!! Thank you so much everyone :) It was an incredible birthday!

Our first stop was this super fun little gallery, Christopher Park Gallery. My momma had originally discovered it when looking for places that sold Ernest Lee aka "The Chicken Man"'s artwork. He's pretty  hard to track down.. so it was nice to see some of his work in a gallery. I loved all the artwork the gallery had on display!

Here's some of The Chicken Man's work.

More Chicken Man...

And Even more...

Also, they own a little cafe! It's covered in funky artwork, and the sandwiches are INCREDIBLE! We'll totally be coming back. If you're looking for a nice little place to eat in Greenville... Totally stop at Rainer's Cafe.

Since it was my birthday, and I was hosting a virtual Ice Cream party.. #ccicecreamparty (thanks to everyone who participated.. y'all are the greatest!) We had to go find some ice cream.. We couldn't really find anything along the street we were walking on until we walked past Blueberry Frog, a FroYo place! SO SO GOOD.

The lighting was a little shaky.. but my Fro yo was incredible, and so cute! I mean it's covered in rainbow sprinkles...

After picking up some yogurt, we headed to the park. It was BEAUTIFUL! So many flowers, a Shakespeare play rehearsal, fun little stairs and trails, a huge bridge, benches, swings, waterfalls... I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait until I start visiting and touring campuses these next few years. I can't wait to tour Furman and revisit the greenville area. Here are some photos as we were walking along. P.S.. It's a lot of photos!

and here's the bridge:

but seriously these Piko dresses are insanely comfortable.. I'm obsessed! And only like $21! #steal! Mine's awkward in this picture because of my bag.. It's not one of those High-low things.

an awkward little candid

Here's the Shakespeare rehearsal I was talking about..

I really wanted to stop by this building before we left.. mainly because Postcard From Paris Couture totally reminds me of Postcard from Paris by The Band Perry.

We came across this mysterious little dungeon thing.. It even had a little bench in it. I thought it was creepy so I took off up the stairs.

All these tiger lilies are crazy beautiful

That awkward moment when you're with your fam and an hour to two away from home and you come across someone from your school and you make eye contact and he starts to walk closer.. God Bless for hydrangeas and being a flower obsessed blogger with a camera.

When you walk past this building you can hear train sounds.

Sorry for the picture overload... I gotta stop overwhelming y'all with posts like this! Overall I had an incredible birthday, and I cannot believe I AM NOW 15! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend...
