Gingham, Pearls, and Monograms

Hey Y'all, 

Don't you get tired of living in running shorts, leggings, and yoga pants all summer? I know I do.. Some days you don't need to dress nicely, because you are staying at home all day! Today, I felt I owed it to myself to actually get dressed. So, I picked out a gingham shirt, my new pearl necklace, and my monogrammed crossbody bag. I hope y'all like:

Gingham with an edge

I know y'all have seen a lot about my gingham J.Crew shirts recently.. I'm super excited about them! I've been asking so many people for outfit ideas with my purple, blue, and black gingham shirts.. And all of the responses I have gotten have been super helpful! A few of the ladies that I asked recommended that I wear my gingham tops with skirts.. I thought about it, searched my closet, and today I wore an outfit with my black gingham shirt and a skirt I have had for quite a few years. This particular skirt has been hanging in my closet for so long, but it has never been worn. The reason I haven't worn it is because it doesn't really match my style...  I try to stay more with the conservative, casually preppy and classy style.. This skirt is more edgy and sleek if that makes any since at all! With this outfit, you are either going to love it or hate it. There's not really an in between.. Personally, I like the combination of the two styles, but that's just me! Please let me know what you think in a comment:) Well, that's enough background info.. Let's move into the outfit!

I really love the simplicity of my outfit today.. I couldn't wait to share it with my lovely, Lovely readers! 

Obviously, from the title of this post.. You can guess that I wore a gingham button up and pearls. If that's what you guessed... You're right! 

My gingham perfect shirt is from J.Crew. Not only do I have this in black, but I have it in purple and blue as well!

Hey Y'all!

It's Saturday.. and I am so happy that I have published a blog post each day last week! I feel very accomplished. Anyways, Saturday means time for another Staple Saturday post! I hope that you enjoy this post, and leave me a comment at the end:)

This week's staple is a gingham shirt. I love the look of gingham button down tops. I feel like they are so simple, but so perfect at the same time. I especially love the different colors that these gingham tops come in!

Because these gingham shirts are made in so many different colors, this style of top can be worn all throughout the year. Yellow and Pink for Spring and Summer. Black and Navy for Fall and Winter...
