Five on Friday

Hey Y'all, 

It feels amazing to just sit here, and not worry about any homework.. Well I mean I will obviously do it tomorrow, but It's just good to change out of my sweaty clothes (I'll spare y'all from the other details), a quick rinse off, cropped yoga pants, an oversized Salt Life tee, a sports bra, and a super messy bun. You know what I mean? I am ALL about comfort! Oh and I'm currently sitting on the floor completely surrounded by binders, paper, folders, notebooks... yeah... Well week one of back to school is over.. now it's time for the first weekend of this school year! 

So... It's Friday. If you're new here at Classy Cathleen you may/may not know what a Five on Friday is! Basically, I choose five items that I am currently obsessed with to share with y'all on a Friday.. like today. So here we go!

1. Short Sleeved Princess Dress: First of all.. It's called a princess dress. Um, how perfect is that! I am obsessed with the Disney princesses.. so this dress is literally perfect!! I love that dark green color. It's my all time favorite color! And now that its back to school, autumn, ya know.. I can finally wear my favorite color! This fab dress is from Black Five and is also available in white! {link}

2. Military Jacket: I have been obsessed with this color for the longest time.. I love how casual and "street style" ish this jacket looks. In my first week of being at school, I have seen quite a few other girls with similar jackets. Like wearing them with tribal print maxi skirts and other things like that.. but honestly, I feel like its a super easy and casual look to pull off for the upcoming season.  {link}

3. headbands: I got my most favorite headband from World Market.. but there are great other places to find headbands! like Forever 21, local boutiques, Claire's.. other places like that. I think headbands are super easy to wear, great for spicing up fun hairstyles.. and just some of my favorite things! {links}

4. Fossil Sydney Zip clutch: Honestly.. Color aside, I am obsessed with the style of this clutch. It is the PERFECT size! You can literally fit so much stuff inside of this, and it's so great to hold all of your every day essentials in one place. I say color aside because it is sold out.. but there are other colors and styles to choose from that are just as perfect! {link}

5. J.Crew Leather Loafers: Next week is Spirit week at my school. Wednesday is Wilderness Wednesday. Which means camo, animal prints, patterns.. ect. I am obsessed with this leopard print especially when it comes down to these loafers. I have been swooning over these for the longest time.. but I don't know if I could pull them off. and even if I could... What would I wear them with? {link}

Five on Friday

Hey Y'all, 

It's my last Friday before school starts. Gosh.. I hate saying that! That's really upsetting.. Ok well on a happier note, I'm spending it with one of my closest friends. Kaitlin and I are gonna do some shopping.. And I'll keep y'all updated:) Ok so anyways.. I got an email this week from Patagonia letting me know of a HUGE sale going on now on their website! Being the hiker that I am.. I love Patagonia! And sales of course.. I just had to dedicate this Five on Friday to their sale, and my favorite items on sale now! If you are new to Classy Cathleen, then you might not know what in the heck I'm talking about with a Five on Friday.. Basically, each week I choose 5 items that I have been loving, I share them with y'all, and provide the links. I hope you like this week's five:) 

1. Lightweight Merino Cardigan- This is such a classic looking cardigan. How can you not love it for Fall? And.. It. Has. Pockets. To sum it all up... The perfect fall cardigan. {Find it here}

2. Fitted Crop Leggings- I love the dark purple-y brown-ish color of these leggings. Typically, when I go hiking... I wear leggings and either a t-shirt or a flannel button down. These leggings would be good fro rock climbing or yoga or anything like that. They look super comfy! {Find them here}

3. Torrentshell Stretch Jacket- This is perfect for HUGE rain hikes or mountain climbing or anything like that. It is completely waterproof, and my favorite part is the underarm things that allow you to reach up. this jacket is also very breathable so that you get some air inside of the jacket as well. {Find it here}

4. Re-Tool Fleece Vest- I love vests.. They are so warm and comfy, but still give you room to move around. This particular vest has handwarmer pockets. No one likes cold hands! These pockets are amazing! {Find it here}

5. All-wear Shorts- These are like the Patagonia version of the J.Crew chinos. They are perfect! They have so many different colors up for sale too.. Perfect for the End of Summer so you can stock up for next year! {Find them here}

Five on Friday

Hey Y'all, 

We made it through another week.. TGIF. This week, I started priming my walls.. Remember my big idea for my room? Well, the paint has been purchased and I cannot tell you how excited I am to complete this project. Wednesday, after registration and schedule pick up, I started priming my walls. It was a mess. So messy that no pictures need to be shown until AFTER all priming has been done. I had the white stuff everywhere! All over the bottoms of my feet, arms, legs, knees, hair, face... Yeah.. By "It was a mess" I mean it was EXTREMELY messy. I worked on it just a little more Thursday afternoon.. And I'll probably work some on it today, but not too much because orientation is tomorrow, and I still have paint on my hands and legs from Wednesday!

Ok so back on the topic of Five on Fridays.. If you are new to Classy Cathleen, then you may or may not know what I mean by Five on Friday. Basically, each Friday, I pick 5 items that I have been obsessing over all week, and I put them in a collage-y type thing. I write a little blurb about each item, and provide the links so that y'all can purchase them too! Let's look at this week's Five:

Item #1: Boden Sparkle Collar Breton- Lately I have been loving everything from. Stripes have been a huge obsession of mine lately. It's the perfect pattern for Fall! Boden took stripes to a whole nother level... They added a sparkly peter pan collar! How perfect is that? Usually I don't like peter pan collars.. But this one is perfect. {Find it}

Item #2: Letter Love Designs Personalized notebook- How cute? Ahh.. Letter Love Designs sells beautiful paper products that I am just in love with! Plus.. this notebook can be personalized! And I thought it couldn't get any better.. {Find it here}

Item #3: Design Darling Hustle notepad- Because I'm the type of person that gets motivated by looking at paper that says "hustle" on it.. Don't ask why, because honestly I have no explanation for you other than the fact that I just have a quirky personality haha. But seriously, paper can be very motivating.. Say you wrote a to-do list on this notepad.. but you didn't really feel like completing the tasks. Then you take another look and see that your paper is telling you to "HUSTLE" and get it done! I don't know about you.. But that's enough to drive me to start completing my to-do list! {Find it here}

Item #4: C'est La Vie tee- I love French tees. It is kind of strange though.. because I've been working very hard to learn Spanish. Taking classes, using Duolingo.. ect. But i don't know, I just love the look of French on a t-shirt! It's so simple and casual, but so chic at the same time. {Find it here}

Item #5: Tassel Bracelets- I have seen these EVERYWHERE! Now don't get me wrong.. I'm not complaining at all! They are 100% adorable! Ever since Caitlin of Southern Curls & Pearls published her DIY tassel bracelet tutorial.. I have seen them on so many different blogs! They are actually so simple to make.. I will have to make some for myself soon!

July Favorites

So.. Um.. It's August? I cannot believe it... It seems like my birthday (July 3rd) was only a few days ago! Summer just goes by so quickly... Before I know it, I'll be back in a brick building writing, reading, and taking tests... You really just have to enjoy each day as it comes, you know? 

Ok so in all honesty... I forgot to write a Five on Friday this week! So... We are going to just say that this July Favorites post kinda sorta counts as a Five on Friday? Or maybe a Seven on Friday? I don't know.. haha

Obsession #1: Stripes- I have been loving stripes lately.. A lot.. I actually just bought this dress shown above from Target. {Mine's sold out.. The one that I was actually hoping to buy at Target is also sold out, but this is the same style just different colors}. I also went to Belk a couple weeks ago, and picked up a striped tunic. Since I am so short.. I can actually wear it as a dress. (stay tuned next week for a stripes collab with NC prepsters)

Obsession #2
Obsession #3: Peonies- They are beautiful. I am in LOVE. The pink ones are my favorite, but all of them are beautiful. Peonies are official my favorite flower... I don't have any links or anything like that for this obsession haha.. or much else to say about them other than the fact that I am in love!

Obsession #4: French t-shirts- Just being honest here, J.Crew makes the best French tees. Well any t-shirt with French words on it is beautiful... But I love the ones that J.Crew makes! Here's some of my favorites; here, here, and here.

Obsession #5: Pretty Paper- I've been obsessed with pretty notebooks, pretty stationary, and pretty prints.. It's so fun to just write on paper that is super fancy and well, beautiful! Here's some of my favorites; here, here, here, and here.

Obsession #6: Bangles- I recently discovered these Kate Spade look-a-like bangles from Forever 21. Look how similar it is to the Kate Spade bangle. If you are a fan of buying the look for less.. Than I strongly recommend checking out all of Forever 21's Jewelry.. I'm not a huge fan of their clothes, but their prices are amazing! When it comes to bangles.. Kate Spade is my favorite. Hands down. They can be expensive, but the little idioms and phrases inside of the bangles are adorable!

Obsession #7: Agendas- I have been obsessed with agendas lately.. Especially the Kate Spade agendas (I just got mine in the mail the other day! Organization post to come soon!) but a super special thanks again to Emily for introducing me to even more fabulous agendas! What great picks! It's Friday! It's been an interesting week.. I guess the major things that happened here on Classy Cathleen would be that my Back To School series started up.. See the posts here and here. Also, I partnered with Boston Belle for a fabulous giveaway here. Ok.. Enough of that.. If you are new to Classy Cathleen then you might not know about my Five on Friday posts.. Basically, each Friday, I pick Five items that I have been LOVING throughout the week. I write a little blurb, and share the link to the product so that y'all can purchase them, or at least take a closer look... Here's last Friday's post.

Item #1: Monki t-shirt- I love this! Sometimes you just need a t-shirt that speaks for itself. This t-shirt is literally perfect! It's oversized (which makes it perfect for lazy days) and just the words are fabulous! "I just felt like wearing something simple but nice. So I picked this t-shirt this morning and it feels great" I first was introduced to this shirt by Karen of Fearlessly Authentic. {link}

Item #2: Tory Burch Ikat Diamond Oblong Scarf- Let's talk about color.. This light blue is beautiful! I love the ikat pattern. I like how it is similar to chevron, but not quite chevron. I don't know honestly.. I just like it. The trim (I think that's what it's called haha) of the scarf is really neat. The crochet and tassel detailing is like my favorite part of this scarf. {link}

Item #3: Scotch & Soda patterned loafers- sadly they are sold out of the blue pattern shown above.. but they have a super cute yellow pattern and a coral and black striped pair. Plus they are marked down from $89 to $45! It doesn't get much better than that... {link}

Item #4: H&M Sandals- I really love these sandals. They are the absolute perfect, most classic pair of brown leather sandals that I have EVER seen! I am in love.. Sadly, H&M is sold out.. But these from Sole Society are similar. They are both classic brown leather sandals that are to. die. for. {link}

Item #5: Kate Spade Set the Stage agenda- Ok.. Y'all are probably thinking "Um Cathleen.. You skipped an item". Yeah.. I know I did. BUT.. I HAD TO SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST! And Y'all probably have gotten sick of seeing Kate Spade agendas on my blog.. here, here ,here, and here. So.. anyways.. I bought it! I went back and forth between the Bella bookshelf and the Gold dots. and... I went with Bella Bookshelf! I just really fell in love with this agenda, and it's really a two in one because there are gold dots on the inside of the agenda! I'm SOO EXCITED, and I cannot wait for when I can open up my inbox and see something from Kate Spade! {link}

Salli from Style by Salli- I love Salli's style.. Let's just start off with that! Her style has really evolved and changed a whole lot recently.. Her style used to be all preppy, but it has really expanded lately. It's more street style ish and just casual, and I LOVE IT! All of her outfits are just fabulous! Congratulations! We made it to another Friday! I swear these weeks have been going by faster and faster the closer we get to the Back to School season... Which it is sad that it is already July 18th, but I mean I have had an amazing Summer so far, and I am semi looking forward too this upcoming school year. Ok.. Enough rambling! Time for this week's Five on Friday. If you are new to Classy Cathleen.. then you probably don't know what in the heck a Five on Friday post even is! Basically throughout the week, I choose five items that I have been obsessed with, and I write a little blurb about each item, and I provide links. Recently I added another part to my Five on Fridays. Now, I feature a blogger at the end of the post! (please don't take offense if I am following your blog, but I have not featured you.. It's a really long list of blogs that I read!)

Item #1: Romana Cradle Sandals- I like how the leather straps of this sandal don't stop around the flat part of your foot. I like how they wrap over the ankle as well so that the shoe looks more complete? If that makes any sense to you.. {link}

Item #2: J.Crew Camden Sandals-If you are looking for a simple, classic pair of leather sandals.. then these are the shoes for you! These are like my absolute favorite shoes in this whole post.. Such a casual pair of shoes! They look super comfy too.. {link}

Item #3: Lilly Pulitzer Mckim sandals- I love Lilly Pulitzer. I love the simplicity of these sandals. They are very basic which is good because that means they will match more things! On the Lilly Pulitzer website.. I saw these sandals in both navy and white. 

Item #4: J.Crew Milano Leather Gladiator- There is just something about these sandals that I really like.. They're cute and look really easy to walk in. That's really important to look for when purchasing sandals! You don't want an ugly, uncomfortable pair!! Sadly these sandals were so popular.. that they are sold out. I also love these, and these. 

Item #5: Joie Moorea Sandals- I like the different more nude/beige color of these sandals. Usually you see the dark leather.. (which I will never get tired of) but I like the color of these as well! I like how these are more of a classic pair of gladiator sandals than other sandals. {link}

Emily is such a sweet person! I love her style and just the way she writes.. Her blog design is too cute! I love the blue and the black and white dots together. I think I have mentioned before on my blog that my brother has Autism. I know first hand what it's like to be a member in a family with a sibling affected. But there are so many other diagnoses and things like that that affect other people. My Mom recently came across a boy named Wyatt on facebook. Wyatt has SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and he wasn't supposed to live past 6 months. Wyatt is now two years old. He is an adorable little baby (see pictures on facebook page) and the foundation was founded to bring awareness to children with SMA. Please like Wyatt's Wish on Facebook here. They are selling t-shirts as a fundraiser to purchase bubble masks for SMA babies (read more on Facebook). Happy Friday Y'all!
Currently I am out of town.. I am spending a weekend up in the upstate of South Carolina! I love Fridays.. Don't they just put you in a good mood? I'm always in a good mood on Fridays! Here is a new Five on Friday for y'all:) If you are new to Classy Cathleen, and you don't know what a Five on Friday post is.. Allow me to explain! Basically throughout the week, I choose five items that I have been really loving.. and I write a little blurb and share the items with y'all! Click here to see last week's post.

Item #1: Embroidered blouse- As you know from this post, I fall head over heels for any embroidered items. This top is beautiful. I have always been a fan of navy and other shades of blue... So this top just brings in everything I love and puts it in shirt form. I'm completely and utterly obsessed. {link}

Item #2: Pineapple Tee- I have a slight obsession with pineapples. You read what I wrote here, but that was LONG before I was truly obsessed. You know that the obsession is pretty bad when I have a group Pinterest board called Pineapple Palooza. Y'all, I think I have a problem. Anyways, this J.Crew tee is just so classic and it really seems like it will match everything! {link}

Item #3: Pink Southern Tide Hat- I LOVE Southern Tide.. Probably because I'm from South Carolina... And that makes me a Southern girl haha! I really just enjoy wearing baseball caps. I think that they are great ways to keep the sun out of your eyes, and also they are just a fun little accessory! I love the pink color of this baseball cap. I think it's adorable for the Summer time. It will look fabulous with nike shorts and a basic tee, or just denim shorts and a basic tee. Cute baseball caps like this are certainly necessities for Summer. {link}

Item #4: Gap Classic Leather Sandals- Sadly these exact sandals that are in the image above... but I just love a classic pair of leather sandals. They match just about everything... Here are some similar ish sandals that I have also been loving {link, link, and link}.

Item #5: Vineyard Vines whale mini tote- I really like Vineyard Vines, and I think that these totes are very classic and cute. They have many other patterns that you can choose from... but I just love this tote! {link}

She is super sweet, and I just think it's neat that she has Bible verses in her sidebar! She even has my favorite verse Psalm 139:14 in her sidebar! I pick 5 items that I have been loving lately, and I write a little blurb and I share them with y'all! Oh and at the end.. I mention a blogger that I have been loving lately as well! Ok, let's get on into this 'Merica Five on Friday!

Item #1: Patriotic Seersucker Shorties from Lauren James- I love the Country Club Prep website. So many great preppy brands! Like Lauren James... Are y'all familiar with the Lauren James seersucker shorties? I love them! Lately seersucker has been my favorite thing. I love the stars and stripes for Independence day on these shorts! Too cute! {link}

Item #2: American Toms- I used to love Toms! I still do.. I love the style, they are very comfy! And the foundation itself! I love the "one for one" idea.. I kind of grew out of Toms for a while.. but you know, I really like this pair! {link}

Item #3: C. Wonder Americana multi-chord necklace- How cute is this! I love all of C. Wonder's jewelry.. This necklace is so patriotic and perfect! I love that it's a big statement necklace, and that the statement that it's setting is a patriotic statement! {link}

Item #4: Kate Spade bow infinity scarf- I don't know if this scarf was meant to be patriotic, or if it was just supposed to be cute and red, white, and blue. Anyways.. It's got bows and 'Merica! Does it get any better? I mean seriously.. {link}

Item #5: Smathers and Branson american flag key fob- I love needlepoint items, and 'Merica so I mean.. This key fob is pretty perfect! I love this so much! Smathers and Branson certainly is going to be added to my list of favorites. {link}

Happy Five on Friday to you:) I hope you have all had lovely weeks, and I am super excited for another weekend! I think of Fridays as "weekend eves" so I always look forward to the end of the week! Ok so if you are new to Classy Cathleen, then you might not be familar with what a Five on Friday post even is! So basically.. Each week I pick out five items and a blogger that I have been loving all week long, and I write a little blurb, and share them with y'all! See last week's post here.

Item #1: Scalloped bow bangle set- I think that if you are looking for cheap jewelry.. Forever 21 is one of the best places to look. I really love this particular set becasue of how much it looks like the Kate Spade bow and scalloped bangles. I love how this set is only $7.99 and how it comes in both silver and gold. {link}

Item #2: Golden open bangle- I saw this bangle on Polyvore, and I was really depressed when I realized that it was sold out on the J.Crew website! There will be a similar one linked, but I just really liked the one in the collage above! I loved the diamond on the end with the smaller diamonds around it.. Too cute! {Similar}

Item #3: Monogram Tote bag- I had never heard of the site "Three Hip Chicks" before this week.. There are all kinds of cute and preppy things sold on the site though, so it is 100% worth taking a look around! I found this fabulous monogrammed tote on the site, and I love the pink and navy together! There are other colors too, but I'm a sucker for the bubblegum and navy! {link}

Item #4: Kate Spade 2015 agenda- I know, I know.. I put this in last week's post too! Can you tell I REALLY love this agenda? I have the Kate Spade gold dots on my computer desktop and my phone.. I'm just OBSESSEd! I love this agenda.. It looks so perfect, and I need it. {link}

Item #5: Monogrammed Sandals- How fabulous are these sandals? I am a huge fan of personalization and monogramming.. And these sandals are 100% fabulous for Summer! Hey Y'all,
If you have been hanging around with me here on Classy Cathleen for at least two weeks, than you know that each week I pick five items and share them with y'all on Fridays! {That's why it's called a Five on Friday} Haha ok so make sure that you check out last week's Five on Friday here. Oh and last week I started doing a "Blogger of the week" to feature some lovely bloggers that I just love! Ok enough blabbing Cathleen.. Just get on into the post:)

Item #1: C. Wonder Oxford Shirt- Let's be honest here.. This oxford is so classy and perfect. I especially love the color of the oxford itself. I got really excited when I saw it.. And then I took a closer look, and Oh. MY. GOSH! The bright pops of color on the details are just beautiful! I love love love love LOOOVE this shirt! {link}

Item #2: Forever 21 Hair pins- I love this little touch of sparkle that these hair pins add to your hair! Sadly, they are sold out of these on the Forever 21 website.. But I found a similar ish set from Mod Cloth! They have faux pearls on them and look very classy. link here

Item #3: 2015 Kate Spade agenda- I have forever and always been a fan of the Kate Spade gold dot print. It is my background on my computer and on my phone. I loved my Lilly Pulitzer agenda to pieces last year.. But I think it's time to try a much more mature agenda if that makes sense haha. These Kate Spade agendas are very simple and they are just what they are! An agenda.. and nothing more. And that's really just what you need! Just an agenda.. {link}

Item #4: J.Crew printed snood- Let's start off by talking about the print on this scarf.. It's beautiful! Now let's talk about the color of this scarf... It's beautiful! Now let's talk about the tassels... They're beautiful! Overall this scarf is FABULOUS! I am in love! This product is sold out on their website, but it is available in a nautical navy stripe. Which is still, FABULOUS! {link}

Item #5: Modcloth mint sandals- Most people love the mint green color.. Or at least I do! I was browsing Polyvore when I found these sandals.. First of all, the style of the sandals is really nice.. Like I guess I'm talking about where the straps are? I don't know.. I just like them I guess! On the ModCloth site they also have these sandals in Coral! ModCloth just did perfect with picking these colors.. Who doesn't love mint green and coral! {link}

BLOGGER OF THE WEEK:
Salli from Style by Salli. I love Salli's style! It is very preppy, but she dresses both dressy and casual. That's probably why I like her blog so much because she has lots of different outfits all on her blog. She is super sweet, and I think y'all will like what you see if you head on over there. {Lots of monograms, Lilly Pulitzer, J.Crew, and Vineyard Vines :)}

Hey Y'all,
If you are new to Classy Cathleen.. Then you probably have no idea what a Five on Friday post is! Well.. Let me explain:) Basically, I pick five items that I have been obsessing over for the past week, and I share them with y'all... BUT starting this week I'm adding something to my Five on Friday. Each week, I will be featuring a different blogger:)

Item #1: Sole Society embroidered infinity scarf- I have been in love with embroidered clothing items and accessories..As you probably know from this post, and bright colors.. So I am all around in love with this infinity scarf! {link}

Item #2: Tassel Necklace- I have been a fan of tassels for a while now.. Up until now I have only ever seen gold and silver tassel necklaces. I died when I saw this turquoise necklace!! What better way to add a pop of color than by wearing this FABULOUS necklace? {link}

Item #3: Crochet tank dress- This crochet style dress is lovely. I like how this dress can fit so many different styles! With a nice pair of cowgirl boots, you would have the perfect country concert outfit.. With a pair of nice flats or pumps, you have a more classic look! Overall.. This dress is stunning. {link}

Item #4: Target tortoise and gold link watch- As y'all know from yesterday's post: link, Target watches are perfect. They are so much cheaper than the bigger brands of watches like Michael Kors for example. The watch in the collage above is currently sold out on the Target website.. But it is still my favorite tortoise shell item at the moment! {link}

Item #5: Lilly Pulitzer resort tote in Oh Cabana Boy- I have seen the palm fronds print going around lately.. and at first glance, I thought that's what this print was! But when I looked closer, I realized that it was beach umbrellas! How cute! I love the beach and Lilly Pulitzer.. This tote is just a great little beach bag! {link}

Five on Friday

Well.. If I've been consistent with anything as a blogger.. It would be at my Five on Friday posts. {This time I got smart and scheduled it ahead of time} But usually what happens is that I wake up on Friday, I think it's a Thursday, I get dressed, head off to school.. And then somewhere in between 10 and 11 am I realize that it is a Friday, and that I haven't written a Five on Friday post. So sometime Friday afternoon I put together a Five on Friday.. The real Cathleen is: lazy, a procrastinator, and very forgetful.

Anyways, this week I am ahead of schedule! *Insert applause here* I'm actually very proud of myself... I put together this post a WHOLE day before it's gonna go up! Wow.. Ok.. So, if you don't know what a Five on Friday post is.. Allow me to explain! Each week, I pick five items that I have fallen in love with throughout the week, and I write a little blurb, and share it with y'all! Make sure you've read last week's post:)

Item #1: Vineyard Vines baseball hat- I love this bright red color on this hat. I also love Vineyard Vines. So.. This hat is pretty great. I think that baseball hats are just that accessory for every single simple and casual summer day. {link}

Item #2: Pineapple Infinity Scarf- First of all this heathered gray color on the pineapples is just beautiful. Also, pineapples are big right now. I don't mean that the actual fruit itself is big.. but the pineapple print on accessories and clothing items is trending right now. *Look out for a pineapple post tomorrow!* {link}

Item #3: Calypso St. Barth silk printed top- I love this style of shirt, and especially how it looks embroidered... but it isn't embroidered! It's just printed like that.. Plus, there's tassels. I love tassels! {link}

Item #4: Pink tassel chain bracelet- This is that bracelet that looks fabulous in jewelry stacks. The gold is simple, so it will match many other bracelets. the pink tassel adds that element of girly and pop of color. {link}

Item #5: Beaded statement sandal- Lately, I have been obsessed with Calypso St. Barth. All of their products are beautiful and fantastic. These sandals are especially exciting! It's like wearing a huge piece of art on your feet! Imagine the tan marks that these shoes would give you.. {link}

So sorry y'all for the lack of posts.. This week has been absolutely insane, but summer is coming soon, so be on the look out for some better posts:) Today's post, since it is Friday, will be a Five on Friday post. If you are new to Classy Cathleen, then you probably don't know what a Five on Friday is! Basically, each week I pick 5 items that I have been loving throughout the week, and I share them with y'all. I explain why I like the item and I provide you with the link so that you can purchase your own. Here's the link to last week's post.

Item #1: Tassel Scarf- Let's talk about color. This scarf is a beautiful color! I am just in love.. I am also a huge fan of tassels, so this scarf is just all around perfect! {link}

Item #2: Embroidered Peasant top- I have been loving embroidered peasant tops lately. I think they are just super comfy and casual, and oh so easy to style. Again with the color.. This is beautiful! {I would provide the link but they were sold out.}

Item #3: C. Wonder Starfish bangle- I love C. Wonder's nautical jewelry. I love it so much that I wrote a blog post about it. If starfish aren't your thing.. Not to worry! They also have lifesavers and a few others as well! {link}

Item #4: Pom pom trim shorts- This style of shorts looks so super comfy! Don't you think? I love the black with white trim on these shorts.. I know that if I had these shorts, I would be wearing them a whole lot! {link}

Item #5: Floral Shorts- These shorts are a bit more wild than the J.Crew ones. I still think that they would look cute for a hot summer day, or after the pool.. Or anything really! {link}

My apologies for such a short and underdeveloped Five on Friday. Again, summer is coming up so be on the look out for MUCH better posts!!

Five on Friday

Hey Y'all,
Do you notice a pattern going on with any of the above items? Maybe instead of pattern I should say overall theme.. Anyways, I'm going to the beach this weekend! I can't tell you how excited I am.. It feels good to get out and just enjoy the day on the beautiful East Coast. You know what I mean?

So anyways, this is a Five on Friday post as you obviously know from the title of this post, and for those of you that are new to Classy Cathleen, you might not know what the heck a "Five on Friday" post even is! So let me explain: Basically every Friday, I pick 5 items that have either been brought to my attention throughout the week, or just items I have been loving! For an example, Here's the link to last week's post.

Item #1: Sequin bottom beach bag- How fabulous is this bag? Pretty fabulous.. Right? Sparkles are my favorite. If you're following me on Pinterest then you might be familiar with my board, All that Sparkles.  This bag is so much more of a statement bag than a regular beach bag, which is funny because you wouldn't typically think of a statement setting beach bag! {link}

Item #2: Keds Lily Sandal- I have only ever seen Keds make those tennis shoe things.. But honestly, these are pretty great! I like the style, and of course the nautical print on these sandals. Also, I love this shade of red. It's bold, but not too bold and looks good with the brown leather. Good job Keds! I'm a fan:) Did I mention that they're only $30? {link}

Item #3: Calypso Sun hat- Only recently have I become a fan of the summer sun hat style. I think a sun hat is a staple for any trip to the beach! Such a fabulous accessory.. Another thing I love about sun hats is that they are a good tool to protect yourself from the Sun's harmful rays. The Sun is a wonderful thing that is very important in our solar system, but it is important that you stay safe. This sun hat is very pricey, but hey, we can all dream right? {link}

Item #4: Jack Rogers Georgica Jelly Sandals- I am a rather large lover of any and all pairs of Jack Rogers sandals. I just think that the company makes all of their sandals very high quality. Even their Jelly sandals are absolutely perfect! I love the idea of Jack Rogers making Jelly sandals because sometimes you don't want to wear your regular sandals out in the rain or to the pool or even to the beach. These sandals are a fabulous alternative! I NEED a pair of these pretty badly.. {link}

Item #5: Striped Sperries- Sperry Top- Sider shoes are literally the best. They are the most comfortable, and there are so many different styles to choose from! Sperries are cute, but also very classic and good for water. After all they are boat shoes! I couldn't find the exact shoes featured in the collage above, so the pair in the link is a very similar pair. {link}

Happy Friday! I am sooo ready for the weekend. I don't like work and papers floating all around the house, and an endless list of things I need to get done. I just need Summer to hurry up and get here! Today's post will be a Five on Friday. If you are new to Classy Cathleen, and you don't know what a Five on Friday post is... Check out last week's post.

Item #1: J.Crew Color mix statement necklace- I love the color in this necklace! It reminds me of spring, and Kate Spade and just everything lovely in this world! The bright colors are fabulous, and this is definitely a statement necklace! {link}

Item #2: Ban.do Frills earbuds- I have been loving all of Ban.do's accessories and techy stuff lately! Their chargers, and earbuds and cases.. Just great! I especially love the frills print on these earbuds. {link} 

Item #3: Vineyard Vines Tote bag- This canvas Vineyard Vines bag is pretty cute.. I love the simplicity of the bag. It's very simple and practical for carrying a few things around if you need them! {link}

Item #4: Jack Rogers Georgica sandals- Everyone is familiar with the regular Jack Rogers sandal style. I love the Georgica version so much more though than the regular! The style is just so perfect... {link}

Item #5: Hunter Wellies- Rainboots are my favorite. I love the polka dotted ones, the Vineyard Vines boots, the tribal printed boots, but most of all I love any boots made by Hunter. I love, love, LOVE all of their colors and prints! {link}

Item #4: Zara City bag- If you have been following my blog recently.. Most of my outfit examples have included this bag! I'm obsessed. I love how simple this leather bag is. It matches pretty much EVERYTHING. {link}

It's Friday, Friday... Ok enough of that! Happy Five on Friday:) If you're new to Classy Cathleen then you probably don't know what the heck I'm talking about! Every Friday I choose five items that I have been LOVING throughout the week, and I write a little blurb about each item... Let's move right on in to this week's picks!

Item #1-J.Crew short dress: First of all.. Let's talk about this color! I love this orange color.. It's beautiful. The buttons on this dress are nice too.. This style is just so casual! {link}

Item #2-Kate Spade bangle: I'm pretty sure everyone has seen the gold Kate Spade bow bangle. Now.. This bangle.. I haven't seen this style before! It has little pearly things on it, and I think it is just darling! {link}

Item #3-Tortoise-shell and gold pave bracelet: Again.. I'm pretty sure most people have seen the gold pave link J.Crew bracelet.. I have never seen this tortoise-shell pave link bracelet before! It's lovely... {link}

Item #4-J.Crew floral cap: April Showers bring May Flowers.. And since this is the first Five on Friday of the month... I thought this hat was appropriate! I love the detailed and colorful floral design on this hat. It's just so cute! {link}

Item #5-J.Crew tassel necklace: There is just something about tassels that I love! Especially when they are gold.. They match everything! {link}

Item #1: Lace J.Crew hat- I have never seen a hat like this. EVER. I must say, I'm in love with another item from J.Crew. This hat is perfect... {link}

Item #2: Tory Burch gingham wallet- Y'all know how I feel about gingham patterns for Spring.. I love gingham! The blue gingham is very nice to see on a wallet. It sets a statement, and I really enjoy statement accessories. {link}

Item #3: Design Darling monogram stationary- Gold is an amazing color. It's bright, It's shiny... All around perfect! It looks great with a monogram and on a stationary card.. Mackenzie Horan from Design Darling, always picks the most perfect items {link}

Item #4: Hunter boots- Bright pink rainboots.. There is just something perfect about these boots! I love the pop of color style, and these boots are perfect for this style. The lipstick color of these boots is very "springy". {link}

Item #5: Tory Burch tassel wedges- If I had to pick a favorite from this week's Five on Friday, it would be these wedges. Tassels are adorable. That's all there is to it! If anybody can do tassels, it's Tory Burch! {link}

It's another Friday here on Classy Cathleen... Well it's Friday everywhere.. But it's time for a Five on Friday post here on my blog:)

As you can probably guess.. The above items are sort of a part of a Spring theme! I love Spring..

Item #1: Tory Burch handbag- First of all, let's talk about color! Oh. My. Goodness. The green color is so perfect for Spring.. It reminds me of trees blooming.. and fresh flowers and plants..

Item #2: Floral Statement Necklace- This statement necklace sort of reminds me of little pinwheels or small flowers or I don't know.. Something Springy like that! Again, I love the colors in this necklace. The light blue is such a lovely color...

Item #3: Mulberry bow bracelet- I love the simplicity of this bracelet. It's leather, and it's a bow. Nothing complicated about that! Also the brown color will match many Spring brights.

Item #4: Kate Spade lemon scarf- Lemons are yummy if you ask me.. I love the look of lemons too! Especially how Kate Spade did her lemon pattern.. It's pretty perfect. The mix of the yellows and the greens, and even the little tassels at the bottom are absolutely adorable!
